OK, so what does he sing? Is this the second coming of Frank Sinatra? Or some lesser light?

Not the Moravian poet and abolitionist--James Montgomery the harmonica player and singer: http://www.jamesmontgomery.com/
He went to BU back in the day, and played around Boston around the time of the ascension of Aerosmith (not Sinclair Lewis' pulitzer prize-winning "Arrowsmith") and the J Geils Band, which was right about when I started to go out chasing music around.
He's played with a who's who of blues musicians and others. (BB King, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Jr. Wells, James Cotton, etc.) He's very, very good. And he's going to be walking distance from my house.
:-)
I liked it (the post, that is—I was doing homework last night, a study date, in fact).
Thanks
Regards — Cliff
