HOME

yeah, the weather sucks by comparison, (central florida was mid-80's perfect all week), but from the basement of the convention center, it's all the same to your average software wage slave, and there's truly no place like home. (not for nothing, but only a handful of people at the bar at miller's ale house in orlando were cheering when the bruins put all their pucks in the nets, as compared to last night's unanimous roaring of approval as david krecji and andy ference put the exclamation points on tim thomas' second career playoff shutout performance). i'm not asking for sympathy, not least reason for which that i deserve none, but i do want to express my gratitude for being back here in the bosom of the best place on earth. (shangri-lowell, baby--it's where it's at).

Been there, done that, although usually late November or early December.  Probably the same venues.  For a period we would wrap up the trip with dinner at Bergamos, where the waitstaff sang show tunes.  I really enjoyed that.  I love Broadway Musicals.

Welcome home.
