for this one i won't even invoke the 15 year old daughter rule. and for this one, ON PURPOSE, i'm going to link the faux news coverage because the comments by judge anthony napolitano are SPOT ON, and, not for nothing, but themselves, in my opinion, more "fair and balanced" than is deserved by the topic. this is truly chilling, and i would welcome any member of the greater lowell area democrats to come up with a rationalization for how they can possibly support an administration that demands, nae, outright confiscates from the people and the Constitution, the imprimatur to assassinate citizens it and it alone deems dangerous without due judicial process, arguing, speciously, that "due process" never included the word judicial so they're just going to substitute "executive branch" review in its place. three branches? between usurping congress' war powers and now this, we're down to just one. and that's wrong. pure wrong.

i'm buying a weapon this weekend. anyone who knows me knows how averse i am to guns in my home. (stats prove you are far more likely to be killed by your own gun than have opportunity to use it in the stopping of a crime). but the second amendment was written precisely for this usurpation of power by an unjust regime, and i am NOT going to leave this country this way for my children without standing up for what is right.
chilled yourself at the prospect of one lunatic with one gun??? your government has far more lunatics with far more guns, and niemoller had it right. when they come for you, who is going to say something?

Very concerning. Part of the problem is that the US Supreme Court, once upon a time, ruled that the US Constitution stops at the water's edge. The Department of Justice didn't even use the fig leaf of the FISA Court. Granted, that isn't this brief, but still, it would be a nod to the rule of law and the US Constitution. Or, maybe they did and were brushed off.
I too am thinking of taking the mandatory course.

I have only good things to say about Instructional Shooting on Andover Street. (On site with A.G. Guns and Ammo). You likely have far more experience with weapons than I and may not need it as much or at all, but their laser-targeted practice pistols really helped enforce principles of weapon control and better aim, and their instructors are impressive in their adherence to safety first, second and always. I am proud to have earned my FID card via their courses, and I always hoped I could avoid having to invest in a semi-automatic rifle, but here we are and here I am.

Well...Kad is absolutely, 100% correct. The handwriting is on the wall in bright red neon color...with CAPS....and yet much of the population dismisses it...or doesn't pay attention. This is no longer an "administration." It is becoming a "regime" and will absolutely steamroll anyone who gets in the way. Why do you think FEMA and DHS are contracting to establish emergency "evacuation" camps complete with armed guards? Anyone who says that they are for preparation for natural disasters is just plain burying their heads in the sand.
My cousin in Idaho went to Boise to purchase a new pistol for herself.....and the two major gun shops were simply overrun by customers....and many of them were buying ammunition by the case. Here in New Hamster at Pete's Gun and Tackle shop...you can't buy a case of ammunition...because he hasn't HAD a case in the store for months and months. Folks pick up their order off the back of the delivery truck after waiting for a period for supply to keep up with demand. Sig Sauer just announced that they are moving their corporate headquarters from Epping to a massive facility on Pease Tradeport..the largest facility there.
This isn't because hunting has suddenly become popular. THEY are gearing up to take over and reduce the population to one of total servitude...all one need do is look at history....which is replete with chapters frighteningly parallel to exactly what is happening today.
All it takes to lose freedom is for good men to stand by and do nothing.
