if a tree falls...

so no murmurs yet about the lowell sun's potential (hypothetical?) investigation into the chairperson of the downtown neighborhood association accusing the LPD of corruption and brian's ivy hall of precipitating and exploiting it.  it's early, and i'm by no means impatient, but i just want to let 'em and everybody know i'm still waiting to find out if any trees are going to fall into the local-coverage-relative-silence of the sun's circulation area.  (i also need to know when i need to either cancel or not cancel my subscription as per the agreement).

speaking of which...

i could find barely a tiny calendar mention in today's insipidity (whatchoowannadooooo) about bernie worrell's upcoming visit to downtown lowell.  (of course, howl in lowell has an interview contributed by local radio host, mike flynn, with doctor woo himself, and the full deets, and you know bernie--rock and roll hall of fame class of '97, founding member of parliament funkadelic, de facto member of the talking heads--he's all over the concert film "stop making sense"--etc. etc. etc.)  i know music is not for everyone, and not every kind of music is even for that rest of those for whom it is, but if the whole point of a joke is supposed to be a punchline about what's going on, it's not hard to figure why nobody is really laughing at this one.

(and i wonder who we'll get to write the letter of apology to bernie for the facilities?)
